Artist Description Great harmonies, flashy guitar work, danceable fun and an incredible selection of pop music's favorite hits make the KOOL CATS one of Denver's most popular groups. Formed on the east coast by bassist Josh Filley in 1973, the KOOL CATS current line-up has been playing in Denver for over 14 years. It doesn't matter if the band is performing with the legendary Chuck Berry at Mile High Stadium in front of 55,000 screaming fans, or playing for 100 people at a private party, the KOOL CATS are always a crowd pleaser. As the exclusive "House Band" of Denver's KOOL 105 Radio, The KOOL CATS play "good Time's, Great Oldies" music from the 50's, 60's, and 70's that are not only popular with adults at a dance setting, but with the kids in the audience who are invited to dance, sing and participate at their concert shows.
2004 was another banner year for the band and the 10th anniversary of being the Official House Band for KOOL 105 radio. Highlights included opening up at KOOL KONCERT 2004 at the Coors Amphitheater and headlining the Beatles 40th year celebration in Ft. Collins. They also headlined shows at the Arvada 4th of July Celebration and played at city concerts in Federal Heights, Lochbuie, Castle Rock, Loveland and Aurora. The Cats were also found playing at many fundraising events like Walk America, the Heart Walk at City Park, the Iron Pony Women's Motorcycle Club ride for Easter Seals and many more. As always there was the "Monster Mash" at the BOO at the ZOO and some great classic car shows throughout Colorado. All that and numerous wedding receptions, private, corporate, Christmas parties and the best family oriented New Years party called New Years In New York (we celebrated at 10pm with fireworks) at the Highlands Ranch Eastridge Center, kept the KOOL CATS at their rocking best!
So please, don't sit back and relax. Stand up, dance, sing, and join in the fun with the KOOL CATS!
